I read in the paper on Friday that apparently our summer is pretty much finished here in England which is very disappointing, we are expecting roughly 40 days of cold and wet.  So Saturday we decided to make the best of it and check off another museum we've been meaning to see here in London.  For it being another free museum there was too much for us to see in our 4-5 hour stay!    Tanks and airplanes from various wars between 1880's to the Gulf War including miniature models of battlefields, war videos and mountains of various weapons and tools. There is a lot of amazing, interesting and depressing things to learn about at this museum and there are 5 more different war museums still to see!

We were recently informed at Rocksteady that WB was kindly giving free showings to their employees (and families) to see the final Harry Potter at Empire Theatre in Leicester Square two day's after it's Premiere.
Aside from the novelty of getting to see the movie before the public, it just felt authentic to watch it as part of the WB employees, some of whom worked on the film.  Meanwhile to be in the heart of London watching a British movie that references London and England throughout it really did end up being a pretty special experience.

After many failed attempts at trying to attend some of the various outdoor music festivals that happen all around England Susan decided why not just attend one right in London.  So we picked the Wireless Festival on a Saturday with Aphex Twin and Chemical Brothers headlining the evening.  It all happened in Hyde Park which appeared to be set up to handle this kind of scale concerts quite often through out the summer.   We lucked out on some nice weather and enjoyed the atmosphere.  It's the first time we've been to an Electronic type concert which was an interesting experience but also slightly disappointing.  Without having songs you can sing along to it really is just a rave outdoors without the intense atmosphere.   However both of the show's had pretty interesting visuals to watch as they explore different ways to immerse the crowds into the experience.  In the end Suz and I were pretty disappointed since each ticket cost £50 and the music ended up being pretty conservative mainstream techno rather than some of their more experimental work which I usually find more interesting.

Here's another interesting place to check out in London.  From obscure Seafood to Ostrich eggs and everything in between you can browse and sample at this market.  Yeah it's also pretty busy especially on warm sunny Saturday's.   If your looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat it's neat place to wander through.
